Taminmin High School is located in the rural town of Humpty Doo, which lies approximately 50 kilometres south of Darwin on the Arnhem Highway in the direction of Kakadu.
Taminmin High is a coeducational comprehensive high school catering for 600 students drawn from a radius of 7,500 kilometres. The school's population consists of approximately 20% of Indigenous students and 20% of students from an Asian background, with the remainder being a mix of Anglo-European students. The school is the hub of the community and has long-established and effective partnerships with the wider community.
The school has a long history of working in a health promoting way due to its rural location and is proud to be a part of the MindMatters Plus Demonstration Schools project.
