Fremont-Elizabeth City High School, Elizabeth A MindMatters Plus demonstration school in SA Fremont-Elizabeth City High School, Elizabeth, SA
Fremont-Elizabeth City High School provides for over 940 students from Years 8-12+. We are one of four Special Interest Music Schools and one of eight Engineering Pathways Schools in South Australia. We cater for ESL students from Years 8 to 12 and provide strong support for all Indigenous students.
In 1995 Fremont High School officially amalgamated with Elizabeth City High School but the school remained in operation across two sites. In 1996 both groups of students moved onto one site on Philip Highway following major refurbishment and new building programs. The school's shield symbolises the school's history as the coming together of Playford High School (1988), Fremont High School and Elizabeth City High School (1995).
The school offers a range of programs and a breadth of curriculum to meet the diverse needs of our students. Fremont-Elizabeth City High School operates in close cooperation with Kaurna Plains R-12 School in a joint program called Tapparla Tarkarianna (a Kaurna word meaning 'two paths to our future'). This program caters for Indigenous students enrolled in both schools, enabling the widest choice of pathways and flexible forms of support.
